Alana + Casey {Real Wedding}

Alana + Casey were so much fun to plan with!  Talk about pure, classic elegance, mixed in with a great group of friends and family, a beautiful location and you have one timeless wedding!  Alana and Casey's idea of a perfect wedding included having fun, which reflects their personalities entirely.  From the ceremony to the reception, everything transitioned beautifully and effortlessly.  The wedding took place outside in the Sculpture Garden at Balboa Park.  The sun was shining and the air was clear after a weekend storm passed through.  The guests showered the bride and groom with lots of love as they were happily pronounced husband and wife!   Congratulations filled the air as whimsical streamers were waved in celebration!  The reception began with a cocktail hour where guests mingled amongst each other and signed the guestbook tree.  The linens consisted of soft, romantic shades of pink and sequins lined with delicate mercury votives that illuminated the room beautifully.  Alana and Casey wanted the reception to feel comfortable and inviting by serving food at individual stations where guests could dine at their ease.  The DJ filled the hall with energetic music which excited guests and the dance floor was soon filled throughout the entire evening.  We had such a great time coordinating this night for Alana and Casey, we wish them lots of love in their journey together and hope their lives are as magical as their wedding night!

Kristina + Jeff {Real Wedding}

Once we met with Kristina, Jeff and their families we knew instantly how special this wedding was going to be!  Think...romance, with soft colors, neutral elements and hint of simplicity!  Kristina + Jeff decided on their color palette consisting of a variety of blush colored pinks with a hint of natural elements, incorporating kraft paper + twine.  We love the use of natural materials in any wedding! It allows the overall theme to feel organic while still involving romantic, whimsical pieces of pink tassel bunting.  In order to bring Kristina + Jeff's vision to life we met prior to their big day for a creative consulting session.  We then determined which elements would create the story they had envisioned.   Overall we included a few vintage finds, a classic typewriter and rustic bucket to carry favors to name a few. What a beautiful day this was!  Kristina looked absolutely gorgeous and her groom couldn't have looked happier.  We are so excited for their future together filled with life long happiness!

Julianna + Chris {Real Wedding}

We're always so happy when our vintage rental items are referred by other wedding planners! Gina, of San Diego Weddings by Gina, knew she had to send her bride, Julianna, our way when she started describing her vintage themed wedding. We met with Julianna and fell in love with her ideas... lace, burlap, books, vintage tins, wood soda crates... she was speaking our language! We decided on 3 rotating table designs that all flowed together seamlessly. Their wedding was at the beautiful Mt. Woodson Castle - which we love because vintage fits so perfectly there!

Boho Chic {Trend Watch Fall 2012}

Summer has left us but that doesn't mean we still can't feel fun and flirty with a little bohemian inspiration!  We love the way a bohemian style event and wedding makes us feel...everything from the soft, sheer fabrics, to the bright, rich colors, and the beaded, feathered embroideries.  A boho-chic event is ultimately unique and undoubtedly recognizable!  Below we have gathered our favorite ways to express what it means to create a bohemian chic style.  We love the picturesque settings in a wild flower field, the soft lighting, and those gorgeous dresses!  What are your favorite ways to incorporate bohemian designs into a wedding?
